UKMTO says it received multiple third-party reports of a vessel on fire about 63 nautical miles southeast of Al-Faw, Iraq, with crew status and damage unknown. Outlets and channels including Al Jazeera relayed the UKMTO notice, and an unconfirmed X post said the ship was targeted, naming no attacker. A Telegram post linked the incident to reports that Iran had again struck vessels in the region, a link no other source confirms.
