Corroborated: Houthis say they captured Jabal Han west of Taiz from PLC forces

Corroborated · Taiz, Yemen · 2026-10-20 11:00 UTC

Multiple posts report fighting at Jabal Han (Mount Han), west of Taiz city, between Houthi forces and forces loyal to Yemen's Presidential Leadership Council (PLC). The Houthis claim full control of the mountain and released footage, relayed by OSINTWarfare and Middle East Spectator; MenchOsint, reposting war_noir, describes a Houthi raid on PLC positions there using tanks, armoured vehicles, mortars and recoilless guns. Government-side outlets (Global Arab Network, Yemen Online, Voice of Emirates) report that government forces repelled a three-pronged Houthi attack on Taiz city, without mentioning Jabal Han.

Details by origin

Each detail, with the independent origins that reported it. An origin is the outlet or channel where a claim first appeared; reposts count once. A row counts no more independent origins than the event does above; where it lists more, it says so. This counts reports: it is not a measure of accuracy, and it does not change the event's status. "Reports differ" means two origins gave values that cannot both be true; it is about that detail, not about whether the incident happened.
