Saudi Defence Minister Khalid bin Salman says he held a phone call on Monday with US War Secretary Pete Hegseth on defence cooperation and de-escalation, amid continued Houthi attacks on the Kingdom. The Saudi Defence Ministry, Middle East Eye and The Jerusalem Post attribute the call to the minister, and Telegram and X posts relay the same account, some reporting a sixth defence-minister call in 24 hours.
