Corroborated · Taiz, Yemen ·
Five posts from OSINT channels, anonymous X accounts and the Iran-aligned Tasnim News report Yemeni or Ansarallah forces at the western entrance of Taiz city, centred on the Al-Hanjar checkpoint, on 13 October 2026. Most posts attribute the advance to Ansarallah. Tasnim attributes it to the Yemeni armed forces and says they retook the Al-Hanjar area from Saudi forces. No official confirmation was found, and Middle East Spectator says footage confirms its report, but no footage was verified in the claims.

Verification
Corroborated: 3 independent sources.
Sources disagree on:
- Tasnim says the Yemeni armed forces retook the Al-Hanjar area from Saudi forces; rnintel, Middle East Spectator and @bonzerbarry say Ansarallah captured or took control of the western entrance and do not mention Saudi forces.
- Tasnim describes the move as a retaking, implying prior control, while the other posts describe a capture or seizure of the entrance.
- Tasnim names the attacker as the Yemeni armed forces, while the other four posts name Ansarallah (Houthis); both labels refer to the same Houthi-aligned side but are not the same attribution.
Details by origin
Each detail, with the independent origins that reported it. An origin is the outlet or channel where a claim first appeared; reposts count once. A row counts no more independent origins than the event does above; where it lists more, it says so. This counts reports: it is not a measure of accuracy, and it does not change the event's status. "Reports differ" means two origins gave values that cannot both be true; it is about that detail, not about whether the incident happened.

The disagreements listed under Verification are written by the automated review; this table is computed by rules, so the two lists can differ.
