Explosions heard in Aden as Houthis say they struck military sites

Corroborated · Aden airport, Yemen ·

Explosions were heard in Aden, Yemen, on 24 October, and an Aden police official told AFP that three blasts were heard, which an AFP correspondent also reported. The Houthis say they targeted Saudi-affiliated forces at the Al-Nasr camp, a naval base and military sites near Aden International Airport. Al Jazeera English reports Houthi missiles struck Aden's airport and a coastguard base, Sky News Arabia (relayed on X) reports another missile hit a military site near the airport, and Yemen's government condemns a Houthi missile attack on Aden airport. The Houthis accuse Saudi Arabia of killing 16 people, a figure no other listed source confirms.

Details by origin

Each detail, with the independent origins that reported it. An origin is the outlet or channel where a claim first appeared; reposts count once. A row counts no more independent origins than the event does above; where it lists more, it says so. This counts reports: it is not a measure of accuracy, and it does not change the event's status. "Reports differ" means two origins gave values that cannot both be true; it is about that detail, not about whether the incident happened.
