Corroborated: Israeli forces launch raid in Hebron after West Bank shooting attack

Corroborated · Hebron, Palestinian territories · 2026-10-22 21:00 UTC

The IDF says soldiers and Border Police launched offensive counterterrorism operations in the Hebron area after a shooting attack that killed two Israeli soldiers, and that the area was placed under a cordon while troops operated inside the homes of attackers and other suspects. Al Jazeera, via Middle East Eye, reports raids on a suspect's home in the al-Jalda neighbourhood, and an unconfirmed roundup post says demolitions and shop evacuations took place in Al-Hawa. The IDF says Palestinian residents can leave through designated exit points after being screened.

Details by origin

Each detail, with the independent origins that reported it. An origin is the outlet or channel where a claim first appeared; reposts count once. A row counts no more independent origins than the event does above; where it lists more, it says so. This counts reports: it is not a measure of accuracy, and it does not change the event's status. "Reports differ" means two origins gave values that cannot both be true; it is about that detail, not about whether the incident happened.
