Iranian Yak-130 reported downed near Tehran during 40-day war; accounts differ

Disputed · Tehran, Iran ·

Tasnim News (Telegram, Iran-aligned) reports that an Iranian Yak-130 was targeted while taking off to counter F-35 aircraft during the 40-day war, and that its pilot ejected in the Lavasan mountains and was rescued within two hours. An anonymous X repost of @AryJeayBackup says an Israeli F-35 shot the aircraft down with its 25mm cannon over Tehran after the pilot declared a passively detected aircraft a false identification and did not fire. Details by origin

Each detail, with the independent origins that reported it. An origin is the outlet or channel where a claim first appeared; reposts count once. A row counts no more independent origins than the event does above; where it lists more, it says so. This counts reports: it is not a measure of accuracy, and it does not change the event's status. "Reports differ" means two origins gave values that cannot both be true; it is about that detail, not about whether the incident happened.
