Several Telegram, wire and news reports say explosions and missile strikes hit Qeshm Island (Suza/Souza area) on the evening of 6 November 2026, after aircraft sounds and surface-to-air missile launches were reported. A US official told the Wall Street Journal that the US carried out small-scale strikes on Qeshm Island. The Iranian army and the IRGC say air defences shot down a US MQ-9 Reaper drone over Qeshm; Iranian state TV and IRIB reported no casualties, and no independent confirmation of the drone loss was found.
